Zip code 30354 detailed profileit in Atlanta, Georgia said: LETS MAKE THIS SIMPLE:

I have lived all over ATL for the last 23 years.

If crime is at all a major concern DO NOT live inside 285:
south of I-20
or west of 75/85

If crime is a concern at all DO NOT live inside 285. Just move to some other city . Or spend half of your waking hours in your car.

Crime can happen wherever you are. Basically everyone that lives intown has had their car or home broken into at least once, I cannot recall how many times I have had my car broken into, but I know it is over 10 (I am a special case since I started leaving the window slightly open so they wouldn't break it.. and this was in Virginia Highlands). You just have to try to be smart.

Traffic will make you want to kill people. Live as close to work as possible unless you really like the amenities of the hood you moved into.

I would suggest to anyone that is moving here (if they can) to do a 6 month rent off of craigslist and check it out. The reason there are so many conflicting reports is because ATL can change dramatically from one block to the next. Only simple thing to say is stay out of the westside, the southside, or any area referenced in rap songs

An earlier post states that inside perimeter is more expensive and nicer. Now Im confused.
